I just thought I fixed it.......

Had a problem with the notorious 69.50.190.131 redirect and fixed that. Or so I thought. Now when I try to go to certain websites, I get instead: Cannot find server. The page cannot be displayed. Cannot find server or DNS error. I know the pages in question are available because I can see them on the other computer. Windows XP, IE6.0.

 

Can you ping those certain websites?

Click START, then RUN, then type in: CMD (press enter)
type in the following:

ping majorgeeks.com

If you got good replies, then DNS is working.


Also, if you believe this is a notorious ip, then if I were you, I'd want to head on over to the malware section of this forum.
