I killed Napoleon!

I was very kindly bought Napoleon Total War, obviously being English I couldn't possibly play as the French :-D
So I played as Britain, what a fantastic game.

It looks incredible and the Naval battles are off the chart!

Anyway, you get 200 turns to defeat Napoleon and control certain Regions around Europe, naturally I thought invading France would be a good foothold, I took Caen only to lose it 3 turns later as I was marching onto Paris.

I besieged Paris and went in for the kill, not realising I was outnumber 3-1 DoH!
Not only that, the main force protecting Paris was lead by the Little dude himself.

It was a long battle, 55minutes but I knew I had it at around 40 when I zoomed in on Napoleon himself as my cannons darkened the skies......to my surprise (given these things are horrible shots) a 12lber cannon ball struck Napoleon square in the chest!

Given that you were fighting the French, I really don't see why that would concern you. :-D

(Yes, Europeans get to make jokes like that. Americans, kindly back off. )

Never figured out why Napoleon was scratching himself all the time.
Fleas, maybe? (And I'm an American.)

lol Now now thats not nice, 3-1 is a big deal :-D think of the Garlic! :-D

 

I like garlic, so I still don't see what the big deal is...

 

Oh I love garlic too, but not when 50lbs is fired at me from a Cannon :-D

Actually whenever I play the Total War games I obviously choose to be Britain and my relationship with France is probably the most important so it was different to be at war with them from the start and kind of made me have to change my normal tactics

even so, this game is awesome, you should try it, actually since you like swords and stuff you should try Medieval 2: Total War, get 1200 soldiers with sharp pointy weapons charging at your adversary :-D
