I messed up my memory... or something

I was tweaking my computer a bit today and I messed something up. :^( Here's the problem:

I can't check my email, or forums (I'm just praying I'll be able to check this thread!), or any other website where the content 'changes'! For some reason, when I visit these web pages my computer loads what it has of them in its memory, it doesn't bother loading the *actual* content of the web page at all!

For example: this morning I checked my email. I read and deleted the three messages in my Inbox. Now every single time I've checked my email since then, I've found those same three messages! They don't actually exist though, the server gives me an error if I try to read them.

Also, I checked a thread on some forums this morning. Now there have been more than a dozen replies to it since I last checked it, but when I try to view it my computer simply shows me what it has in memory!

I've already dumped my browser's cache. And tried using another browser. The problem stays exactly the same in any case, so I'm afraid I've messed up a system setting.

I disabled my system paging file this morning, so I thought maybe that was causing the problem. But I turned it right back on, restarted, and it didn't change the problem. I also changed my system's L2 cache setting to what it actually is on my processor, but when I changed that back to the default and rebooted it didn't fix anything either.

If anybody has any help or insight to share, I would be VERY grateful!

(If I don't respond to this... well we all know why)

Did you try doing a system restore?

It should be in Start -> All Programs -> Accesories -> System Tools.

I fixed the problem, and I think it was really quite awesome! I happened to glance down in the lower-right corner of my monitor and I noticed that my system clock was fourteen hours off! It said it was still "this morning."

I set it to the actual time, and now everything in dandy. This is seriously the most awesome computer problem I've ever had, I didn't know the system clock had such POWER!!!
