Well as title says "I must try better" to get on the forum more as last 2yrs I know apart from the odd weekly dive into the lounge or admin area I have been MIA.

Its been hard as work is horrendiously busy, but thats no excuse (its a good one tho)!
I will try and get on tech areas of forum more as its something I like and TBH I learn from helping others and the issues folk bring up, half the time its like HUH really not seen that before, but it makes you think and adapt and find a solution.

    That's a good new year's resolution, David.

I haven't made one myself. I'm still patiently(?) waiting for the world to get back to almost normal. As a result, I spend way too much time streaming videos from Hoopla, Acorn TV, Hulu and dailymotion.

@LauraR - always miss you and out chats, we should do more via email!

@plodr - will i stick to it I hope so, but I agree im Netfix hooked, "cursed" is good twist on King Arthur,

@Replicator - not front line (hats off to those who are), I'm more back room research, tho not asked yet to deal with COVID, as does it affect the eyes, though we dont know much yet, its blood born not respitory as first thought, hence why it attacks the weakest part of your system, so if you have kidney, heart, diabetes then it will affect those areas more, also in those that did not know they have issues beforehand, it may exacerbate those. Never thought I would have to work on malaria projects so COVID is who knows.

Its a nasty virus and we likely see these every 100yrs and this one is here for a while, I hope vacinations are a leveller, and we get back to normality but I see us dealing with this for 5yrs+, we do need to look back at what we have done to combat as a learning experience as no GOV has had to deal with this in last 50yrs

I did get an email update on new mRNA spikes on this and 70 new from last week and 4 that are possible issues, but further down the DNA chain you go the more you will find in varents, so I'm not overly worried yet.

You're, as always, modest - I step in and out - not as regularly as I once used to, but you've always been there in a social, friendly, helpful capacity.

Stop beating yourself up - you do a great job - as do all the other MG admin/support/team members!

    LS thanks *embarrased*

I do try, just so busy with work its draining in past few years, so much more now as push for AI/ML in diagnostics in medicine, in part COVID has pushed this to the front, but always been a goal of many health systems to have quick diagnostics as just too time consuming for a person to review medical images. We are close on a few areas and those are glaucoma, wet AMD, diabetes, but likley we can as we use in ophthalmology OCT imaging to diagnose other eye conditions too.

Have 2 medical papers this year so far in scruity one ond diabetes and treatments and other on monitoring those on HCQ (hydroxychoroquine) as it has in long usage a low risk of sight threating perminent loss. Working on a few others OK in my head so far but one is stress/vision and COVID realted.

I keep forgetting, myself. Life took a couple of really hard lefts and you start focusing on getting to the next thing, and forget the places that make you happy. Nobody probably even remembers me anymore, but (wow, almost 20) years ago, this was where I felt happiest. Miss you guys.

I remember you, Wenchie :) It's good to "see" you.

I don't get here much anymore either. Sorry to hear about the left turns. I've had a few as well. I hope all is working out as well as possible.

I also remember Dyamond - haven't typed at her here in 5 or 6 years. I hope all is well with her as well. So many have come and gone from here over the years.

Good to see you. I don't get here much anymore . . . but the last few months I have been checking the forums, but haven't posted much. Still direct people to this site on a regular basis.

Sure do! Good to see you around. Hope you stick around as well. I've got to make more of an effort myself too. As you said, life sometimes happens and you forget to do the things that make you happy.

@DavidGP Hope you're getting some more spare time now the vaccination programme is in full swing over there!
