I Need A Little Help Please

Hi folks i just bought myself a new desktop PC it's a HP a6340 and it came pre-loaded with Vista Home Premium my first question is can i use Acronis to make a recovery disk just in case i have a real problem??

second question is it is also pre-loaded with Norton security with a 60 day trial period, i would like to get rid of this because i have my own NOD 32 fully paid up anti-virus, i have seen here on the forums that people have had problems un-installing Norton so i would ask for guidence please.

Backup up again after.
