I need a Pop up Blocker!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I relly need some help... I used to have norton and zone alarm,,, so I had NO pop ups...... Well, I no longer have Nortin, or zone alarm.... I have AVG, and every site I go to I get pop ups...... I have my windows pop up blocker on, but it dosent help........ What do I do??????? Does Major Geek have a pop up blocker?????

Ad Blocker Pro addon is good if you use firefox, and you can get Adblock Filterset G Updater to automaticaly update your popup list every week.

I just put mine through the 27 tests, had minor problems on 4 of them:-
(12) pop-up but easily dealt with by right clicking and using adblock
(21) failed - no pop-up asked did I want to bookmark but could close easy with the X
(22) didnt manage to open popup but asked to download, easily sorted by cancel button
(25) failed - pop-up through Java, easily closed with X

Well I am happy with my setup, I dont get no pop-ups when browsing but that goes to show nothings perfect. 23/27 not too bad?

 

Well, interesting! I thought one of my security products had an inbuilt pop up blocker but if so, it isn't enabled.

So I put IE and Firefox both through the test and IE failed every single one and Firefox only failed partially on 12 (the site comments that they don't know of anything that blocks this pop up), also on 21, 22 and partially on 25. I think that tells us something about the difference between the two browsers and you might want to think about using a different browser, Moketta.

 

If your using windows xp with internet explorer i recommend google toolbar (google is a great search engine and it's built in popup blocker works great) http://toolbar.google.com/T4/index_pack.html.

Look for the popup blocker download at the bottom of the screen.

 

Mine passed all but two... one of them being the one that tries to open a side bar and asks to set a bookmark, lol, but my spyware got that one, so it was still a click.
