i need a tv tuner

i am looking for a tv tuner for my pc that doesnt cost alot over money but is still a good one. i really dont have any idea what to look for in one so any information or just say what you think is a good one is. thx

 

My work "laptop" is a Toshiba Satellite that came with an external TV tuner. It is made by Toshiba as well. All it is is a small box, about the size of a CD case. I doubt it would be very expensive. It was very easy to hook up with Windows XP Media Edition. Works like a Tivo. You should be able to get one for less then $200 (Canadian).

 

A decent tv tuner isn't gonna be cheap, you get what you pay for.

 

actually coleman, i got mine for $45 at compusa and its great. it also came with great software.

 

What kind of tv tuner is it?

 

I have ATI All In Wounder VE PCI capture card, bought for $47, it does work pretty good.
Great for video capture from Cable/TV, Vid cammera & VHS, I dont remember the exact requirements, but youll need decient video card on your PC as well, or lot of features wont work.

I also run dual monitor's so I can watch TV/movies/sports what ever while I surf the net, I love it!
