i need bios help

    hey, i hate coming to a forum with the intention of only making a few posts but i need to make an exception. i am trying to upgrade my bios since it is A03. which i think is a bunch behind the newest. i have a dell dimension 8200 and my bios id is unknown. i guess it's phoenix but im dont if that helps. is there anyway i can upgrade without knowing this string. thanks alot in advance.

    I think this is what I ran

    when I needed to id my motherboard and BIOS.
    Just keep saying no if the program wants to sell you something or connect to the site.
    I was able to get the info and capture and print out a screenshot of the info I needed.

    P.S With Dell, check Dell, I would not risk any other BIOS. Their support page lists all updates for your computer. While you can get better drivers for your video card, motherboard, sound card and more, a BIOS update is software that updates your hardware, it is not a driver.
