Hi, I can't figure how where and how to change the colors of these two areas in the picture.
The reason I ask is because my eyes can't take a lot of white on screen at once, it makes them burn and water, but darker colors are fine as well as limited white.
and lowering the brightness doesn't help because I have to lower the brightness to the point all colors in everything else look kinda like mud. lol
I also want to know how to change the color of the text in these two areas.

I'd also love if you could tell me if there is a way to lower JUST white (maybe some other super light colors as well but don't wanna get greedy) without lowering brightness for everything. This second request is more wishful and I'll understand if its not possible.

I'm on windows 7 right now but might be moving to windows 10 before the year ends so I'd like to know how to do the both for both windows please. colors here.png

try downloading this software https://justgetflux.com/ it will change the white to a like a sunset colour and makes it easier on the eyes.

Can I custom the colors with that thro? My eyes are externally sensitive so I kinda need the background/most of the screen to be dark at all times.

That program doesn't seem to be able to help me. I don't want the whole brightness of my computer to be changed.

    Check your monitor's settings.
There should be additional buttons next to the on/off button.

I thank you all for your help But what I'm looking for how to do is this. As you can see I already changed the background of one type of area in my windows folders. I am unsure how when I was opoking around a bit and Was scared of changing something I wouldn't be able to fix. I want to change the background and text color of all my windows areas like I did here (even thro the text isn't changed in this picture.)
