I need help on audio driver

I'm using Benq Joybook A53. My OS is Windows XP. I've just recently reformatted my pc due to virus attack and tried to install back all of my drivers. I've done all the installing but having the audio driver as an error. Downloaded the compatible audio driver from Benq site which refers to Realtek HD driver and installed it but having an error message that installation failure. Opened my device manager, the Audio Device on High Definition Audio Bus showing a yellow exclamation mark stating that the driver is not installed. Tried to uninstall it but it says uninstall failure and have to boot up the computer. I'm having massive headache thinking on how to rectify this. I saw the other post on this forum regarding Realtek HD but its not helping me at all. Below this I'm posting the Everest report.

Hi

Try installing the UAA driver HERE which is the Audio Device on High Definition Audio Bus driver.

However as you already have SP3 which has this driver in it, you may need to fool your PC into thinking its SP2 for a short time while you install the UAA HD Bus driver, then change the registry key back to that of making your PC SP3.

Are their any other yellow ! marks in Device Manager? if so what as if you dont have the Chipset driver installed then Audio drivers do fail to install correctly.

Using these instructions from Muskesnipe below, but WARNING is that changing anything in the registry thats not mentioned below can cause your PC to not start or have application failure, so if not confident of changing things in the registry then do ask a friend who is.

SP3 has to be fooled in order for HD audio to be installed.

Next you will need to do this:
This patch is required before any of the HD device drivers are installed

1. On your PC change the CSDVersion registry key to XP SP2:
HKLM\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Windows\CSDVersion value=200
2. Restart your PC
3. Install HD_Audio/kb888111xpsp2.exe and Sound Driver - WinXP
4. Change the CSDVersion key back to XP SP3 again:
HKLM\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Windows\CSDVersion value=300
5. Restart your PC, finalize configuration of your PC, sysprep and capture.

Simplified Directions from above
Goto Start > Run and type in regedit , then click OK.
Click the plus signs in front of HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE, SYSTEM, Current Control Set, Control, and finally, click Windows.
In the right panel you will see CSDVersion.
Right click it, choose Modify.
In the highlighted input window, you should see 300. Change it to 200.
Click OK, close regedit and restart your PC. Windows will now think it is SP2 and allow you to install the HD_Audio/kb888111xpsp2.exe and your Sound Driver

Make sure to reboot and then test your sound BEFORE, changing the value back to 300.

Then follow the same steps to change it back to SP3. Change the 200 back to 300.
