Hello,My question basically is that i dont know how to find out what kind of graphics card i have, and the programs i used dont really tell me, as you can see from the links, i also dont have any leftover source of the graphics card, i bought this laptop from a friend
only came with installation disk, charger, and the laptop :/
so i recently reformatted this computer and use to play games well but now that i try to run a game is says that it cant find the proper screen to play it
so i typed dxdiag in run and looked in the display tab

    i have this information :

    i get this: http://i25.tinypic.com/29kq7m0.jpg

    Hi

Its very likely that the graphics is onboard as the missing SM Bus controller is one of the motherboards drivers that the chipset covers, so very likely you need to install chipset for GFX card to be recognised, especially as you have just re-installed the operating system as the chipset driver is one of the common ones to be forgotten about to re-install.

So what is make and model of the laptop as this will give clues to the chipset used, or download and run Everest and you should find the info for Make and Model, CPU make and Chipset and GFX used in this laptop.
