i need some info from people of this site

i use a compaq DESKPRO Intel celeron 500mhz 64mb ram intel 82810 onboard graphics controller with onboard sound i was wondering how many people of this site use that type of computer and i was wondering something it uses a laptop cd-rom i was wondering if you people might know how much it would cost to replace it because sometimes it will read cd's and other times it will not it makes the system lock up untell i open up the cd-rom when it is not reading the cd's

 

you would have to get a replacement part from compaq. it would probably be 100-200$ is my guess

 

You posted a reply to someone else about a video driver that will fool an onboard gpu to run at about 64meg. I have a 531 mhz celeron with an 810 chipset. would you email me with the driver location.

hey i got it at http://www.driversguide.com/ you have to join dont worry its free and when i get a new cd-rom i will take this one outside and fill it full of holes with my 22.cal because it just craped out on me when i was installing something
