Questions about Viruses can be posted in the Malware Forum. It is a very busy forum, and works in order of posting date/time, so once you make your initial post, don't make subsequents posts, as that will only serve to send you back to the bottom of the line :)

What kind of IP question is it? Not sure where to suggest you post that without further info.

    :)

**I have a message board and I can ban members through their IPs, but they have so many of them ~ I want to know how that could happen? I thought you couldn't just "get more" if you want it. What causes this to happen? (to have so many IPs) Are they to "recognise" your computer? ??

There are only a finite number of ip address in the world lol. There will be a lot more once IPv6 is used completely but to the question:

Im not sure I quite understand it lol but: A lot of people have what is called a dynamic IP, everytime they connect to their ips it assigns them an ip address from its pool. most of these will be in a range so you could tell they are similair.

Im not entirly sure i've answered your question there but hope it helps

How to fix an error? (IP error for my computer just started today after MY CLEAN UP) it says there is a conflict in IPs used on my computer?)

Is your computer on a network ? That to me just sounds like 2 computers on the network have been given the same ip. Possibly your DHCP Server (the one that gives computers an IP if its not statically set) is using ips in a range that are already used.

The simplest solution would be to just set a static ip on your computer, if you run an ip config and show me I can tell you what statc IP would work.

Goto Start --> Run and type in cmd and hit enter.

Type in ipconfig /all >> c:\ipinfo.txt (not the space before "/all")

This will create a file in the root of your c: called ipinfo.txt upload it on your next post!

Do you know if your other computers all assign addresses by DHCP ? Im just wondering whether its easier to set them all to use DHCP or just change this one to one thats outside the DHCP range.

You could just try right clicking on the network connection and selecting repair.
