I really don't know what is up today

Man it's just one problem after another. I downloaded the MMORPG Maple Story and everytime i try to log in, my comp resets itself. When it comes back on it says the whole " Your System has just recoverd from a seriouse error" thing, and when i do the report it says it was " Most likely " a problem with the hp memories disk creator. I installed the updates and tried again and the same thing happened. What is up with that? It's gotta be some kind of mal ware. Also when i try to use Regestry Mechanic it just closes itself about 2 min. into the scan. Dosen't even ask me if i want to stop, or even notify me. It just closes like it was a folder or something. HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!
