I survived yesterday's operation.

Not as dramatic as what it sounds, but still.
I had a Cardioversion operation yesterday at our local Cairns Base Hospital

You know, you see it on TV soap operas where the doc yells out "Clear" and zaps the patient on 2 chest pads with 2 electrically charged pads. The patient leaps off above the bed, etc. :-D

Apparently the real thing is nowhere as dramatic., thank goodness. I was out cold, of course, so did not feel a thing.

Anyhow, 1 zap was all I needed and my heart rhythm is apparently back to normal.:cool

Thanks to the Base Hospital staff, especially my nurse, Shannon the Anaesthetist, and the Indian doctor, all went well and I was home the same day.

That is good news, Bazza, I k now A-Fib is nothing to mess around with, I know it too well. My hubby got a pacemaker because of it, and they are still trying to figure out the right meds rolleyes Good to see you are OK! :wine

Hi Bazz, glad you came through it, fun isn’t it! Not as much fun as when they inject a drug into you that stops the pump and you can sit and watch yourself flat line, and then stand there till it starts by itself. All the best big bazz keep taking the pills.

 

So, the lobotomy was successful? :-D
