I downloaded reimage pc scan and repair from major geeks.com. I spoke to the rep named Alvin. I had trouble installing your program. So I called. Alvin, took over my computer with my permission, scanned, found a Trojan Virus. I tried to copy & paste the name of the virus and was not able to as Alvin not only removed the page so I could not copy it, he didn't even install the program for which I paid for.

    In gratitude,

Just an FYI for those wishing to help, we have gone over her computer in the malware forum and found no malware. Her system seems to be the issue.

You've been scammed. There was no trojan on your computer and "Alvin" convinced you to let him take over your computer and no doubt pay an exorbitant fee for a program you did not need.

Please post what is happening on the computer.

By the way, I got the Reimage software from your site. On a bright note, I got a refund from Reimage. Thank you.
I am running an HP laptop with Windows 10, only 5 months old.
I had a laptop from my job. After cleared my history & shutdown one day, for some reason, all the information that was on my favorites bar in google on that laptop appeared on this one. I am lost as to why or how. I had my google mail set up so that I didn't have to sign in each time I brought up google browser, now I do. I don't know where the sync icon came from saying I am on pause. I don't know how to fix that. I always used my debit card to buy online and now the vendors are not accepting it anymore. A number of unexplained issues have been happening. Whatever happened even affected my router which is also new. I tried a system restore but that didn't help any and would not let me choose a back date. I am truly at a loss.

Did you give "Alvin" your card number? You'll need to contact the institution that issued you the debit card and request a new one mentioning that this one might have been hacked.

I don't run Windows 10. I don't use the chrome browser (google is not a browser, it is a search engine)
    I also don't sync anything.

Hopefully, someone running Windows 10 and syncing thing might be able to solve those issues.

If you sign in you gmail in google chrome it will automatically sync everything in to the browser no matter how many times you change computers. the reason that the sync keeps pausing is that you are deleting cookies when you clear your history and you have to re-sign in your Gmail account and then it will become unpaused hope this explains it for you.

I only clear my history occasionally. Yet I have to sign in each time I bring up google. That has not happened before this situatation started up.
Not sure what you are trying to tell me.

Check the browser's settings. It might be set to delete the cache (history, cookies, temp files, etc.) on exit.
