I think i may have a virus...

I am not sure if I have a virus or not, but there are certain web pages that I can't pull up. I have been able to pull these certain sites before, but not now. i am running Win 98 with a Win ME upgrade. Other info concerning my computer...38192 MB...375 MB (SDRAM)... I'm not sure else that I can provide, that would help, but if anyone can help me, please email me

 

Are you running an updated antivirus, and if so what does it report when you scan your system?

If not there are some great freebies here. Avast and AVG will both get the job done, and McAfee Stinger is a great temporary fix for some of the most common viruses.

If you're using IE, it sounds more like a browser hijack than a virus (which is possible), something we've been seeing a lot of around here lately. Here's some info on Spyware and hijackers, and links to freeware you can download to clean up nasty stuff:
