I think it's dead

    My daughter dropped off her Dell tower computer for me to try to repair.
    When I power it up, I never see a BIOS boot up message. There's no series of beeps and the LED on the motherboard glows steady.

    I think either the CPU or motherboard died, more likely the CPU.
    I replaced the power supply with no change.

    how many beeps, it's a code to tell ya where to look

    sorry I missed the no beep, but it sounds like a video board problem to me

    Do you at least get a black screen with a blinking cursor in the upper left?
