i took you'r advice & dumped norton

hi guys!!!!!! i took you'r advice & dumped norton AV. i bought it combined with norton systemworks so had to uninstall both. i was wondering if there's a programme ( free if possible) that will do the same job as systemworks. thanks for any advice......

basically system maintenance. something to keep my pc running smooth. i used it for checking windows for problems & things like that. more of a diagnostic tool than any thing else..

 

I'd have thought CCleaner would cover most stuff not covered by AV and antispyware tools we have already reccomended. Not sure about speeddisk, i've never used it but windows defrag program isn't THAT bad and does whats needed anyhow.

Re-install System Works. Select Custom Install and do not re-install the Anti Virus program.
I use Norton System Works premier 2006 mainly for Disk Doctor and Speed disk. I do not use the Anti Virus.

I use Avast instead (free).
