    Hi All,

ok I dove in and tore apart an older computer too fun! Anyway I want to replace the motherboard because it can not be upgraded any further so I tore everything out and my question is I am sitting here looking at the motherboard and do not see anywhere on it where it says what kind it is? How do I tell this? It currently has a AMD - K6 -166ALR 2.9v CPU and the chipsets on it say TXPro would it be a TXPro them maybe. I know the CPU is not what came with it this is an older computer my neighbor gave me with a mish mash of things in it and I want to rebuild it with my addings so I know what I have (it will be for my 8 year old daughter) The power supply is fine and is a AUSTIN LC200C AC input 120/240.

I want to be able to run XP pro, 512 RAM or 1G and need a good video card not a big gaming one just one that is good enough for her to play games online say from webkinz, neopets, battleon etc.

Where do you all suggest I purchase a motherboard? Frys, tiger or? Maybe one of you have one I could purchase?

Thanks in advance for your expertise and help ;) ALso this motherboard is in very good condition what do do with it? sell it?

Newegg.com or Zipzoomfly.com have mobos and parts.

You'll probably need to get a new power supply because 200watts wont support much of anything nowadays.

Probably cost more to post it than you will get for the old motherboard, unless someone has an old model, using that K6 board, -I found them good for the age of them.
PSU - I agree wholeheartidly, you would have a job running much in the way of games with that.
