I tunes

I am not sure how much infor to provide, sorry if TMI. I was using my i-pod with the latest itunes without problems. then out of the blue i wasn't able to sync and a message saying ipod has not been detected, and it is attached.
any suggestions? I tried attching the info but wasn't able.

Have you tried plugging into a different USB port on the same computer? Have you tried it on a different computer?

Is your iPhone locked?

Also, go into disk management and see if it is showing there as a drive.

 

Ipod is not locked. I went into disk management, but realized I wasn't sure what to look for; I am not computer savvy!

I do noy have access to another computer so did not try

 

Can you maybe try it on a friend's computer? Just trying to rule out whether it's the computer or the device.

 

I am at my aging parents out of town and really have no other accsess. When I rebooted my computer a message said something like SPCTl.dll is missing........thanks
