I want to edit PDF files

I have to constantly download PDF files, print them, and go through with a highlighter, and highlight the same things over and over. I would like to have a program that I can highlight on my screen with, and print them out that way, also saving highlighted versions would be a plus.

Hurry, my highlighter is almost dry.

The only way that i know of is to have the pro version of Adobe.
I have heard rumors of another kind of PDF program which is free or close to it but I cannot locate it.
maybe someone here will have an answer for you

 

you can check OpenOffice I think they have a PDF converter built in

Thank you. I use Open Office here. I know it can do a PDF output, but I don't think it can open an existing PDF and edit it at all. If I am wrong someone tell me how to do it.

 

I have Foxit Reader 2.0 installed on a U3 flash drive. I don't use it often since I have Adobe Reader installed on my hard drive. But, I discovered I can highlight text with Foxit Reader and save the file with the highlighting retained. You can get the full/regular version here: http://majorgeeks.com/Foxit_Reader_d4763.html

 

I forgot to mention Foxit Reader will put a watermark at the topic of a document when you highlight text in it and save it. If you want to avoid that, I believe you need to pay for a plug-in.
