i want to upgrade processor, what do you think

    my m/board is msi kt3 ultra[ms-6380e]. i know the board is old but i dont want to spend too much as i want to build new system when the BTX boards come out.i want to bet higher processor as i only have amd athlon 1800.i think that this board can go up to 3000 but it has been suggested that the voltage and such will not be enough. my power supply is antec 550w i think. i am open to suggestions!
