I have a twin monitor system You can play games and work by putting the game in a window on one and your work in a window on another monitor. One mouse will do both screens.
If you had two mice and cursors, which would have focus - i.e. be the active window? Two cursors will either not work, or not work well unless you run two copies of Windows. This runs so slowly that gaming is impossible. One mouse will establish focus and allow input to that program. Just set up your monitors side by side.

    That's an interesting ideea!
I, for instance, would like to have a mouse and a digitizer pen attached to the same machine, so when I'm using photoshop I could work with the pen, and for other programs I could use the mouse.
    Mmm...tempting,can it be done?

Mouse and trackball and three keyboards - whatever is easily done, just hook them up through a USB hub. Wifey uses the mouse/keyboard/graphics pad in Photoshop, But remember the computer will see this all as one input at a time.

Advice on picking that USB hub?

Anything in particular in the way of specs we should look for to get a good USB hub? I don't know anything about shopping for one.

Specifically, I'd like to connect both of my USB-cable printers to my main machine, and select the standard one for text and the photo-grade for pix. Advice? Do I actually have to use a hub if I have extra USB ports?
