Well unless your battling malware you don't need Hijack This. Everything else I assume you use or need that's really up to you to decide. You seem to be up-to-date on everything else :) As far as the .NET framework goes I am not positive but you may only need 3.0.

I tried to get rid of the .net version but it came up as do you want to delete this, it could cause an issue and make things not run properly. I said yes. Then it acted like it was working then boom came up with error saying it couldn't be removed and closed and then it popped up a message send report or no and i just closed out. Anyways what iam wondering is can I delete the 3.0 newer one then maybe delete the older one? Maybe You have to get rid of them that order? I dont know? Maybe I can get rid of both and just get the .net framework from majorgeeks? I am going to try few things.

Hm I was removing one of the two version in my add/remove. The 2.0 whatever was 80mb and the other was 3.0 (which I assume is newer) and it was 60 something mb. So instead of both(which I didnt think was needed) I wanted to uninstall the older one. Well I was actually able to uninstall the newer then the older version afterwards. Now iam going to download the 3.0 .net framework again when I find it.

I never had .net framework on the computer for many many months. I just found out I needed it for a download I did. I went to a website and downloaded it from there. Then after i already did that I found a 3.0 version of it. So I did that... figure it would update and take its place into my computer.. But no it made two seperate things. But the program I needed that .net framework isnt no longer on my computer. And I know you need a .net framework so I assumed Id just get the 3.0 again. Cause nothing I use needs one.

    You don't need NET 3.
You've downloaded Paint.NET, which is a powertoy and not needed to run XP. I believe I might have .NET 1 something installed and that's it.

In your paint thread, I've mentioned how you can reinstall the paint program, under accessories, that is included with all versions of windows.
