I posted a thread under software and was told to post here instead, of course, after I ran through the Windows XP Cleaning Procedures. I am posting the log results here. I have been getting pop-ups from AVG saying that I have multiple infections of the I-worm/brontok.x I have now ran through the cleaning procedure. I haven't been on the computer long enough today to see if I will get the same messages since the cleaning.

I thank you for all of your help in this matter. It has proven to be even more difficult to handle because I am in the Army and deployed to Afghanistan (not the best internet to say the least) Here are my log reports.

It appears as though the scans took care of the malware. What issues are you still having?

Please use add/remove programs to uninstall:
    J2SE Runtime Environment 5.0 Update 2

    Reboot. Now download and install:
    Java Runtime 6

After a few days of no issues. Today AVG poped up again "multiple threats detected" and it is the I-Worm/brontok.x Same files as before. I have done everything I can think of, which is not much because I am not the most computer savvy, and I have followed all the steps that someone told me to to a "T". Please Help!!!

You need to either tell me the exact path of these files or attach a log from AVG so I can see what it is alerting on. The name is meaningless as every AV program has a different name ( ofter ) for what it finds.

If it is quarantining these items, then it is doing it's job.

To whom are you referring and what steps are you talking about?
