i would like advise for sound problems !

:major:major,hello i would like some advise on a sound problem,any media player i use the sound is distorted+it lowers and raises the sound the sound,i have reinstalled a driver+sound card but it still is like listening to vocals thru a can.Any advise what to do will be apreciated!i have an ECS ,pentium4m800-m7,15-p35-013101 R.V.3.1Thank you daniel.

 

HI James had a bit of trouble finding your mobo, but ive found it now and it seems you have 6 channel audio on there. when you say youve updated drivers /sound card? have you installed a stand alone sound card and disabled the onboard sound?
if you are still using the onboard sound, have you been into the control panel and set up the speakers properly to match your system... ie 6 speakers, 2 speakers headphones etc.
if you are using 6.1 speakers you must get the cables plugged into the mobo in a certain way.
have you checked all cables are secure untwisted uncut etc?
long shot but have you got another set of speakers to try?
post back with exact details of your actions so far, and which OS you are using

:majormajor I have re installed Real tek AC 97,none of my cords are bad+my conection to the builtinsound card is secure.I tried 2 down load your sound blaster driver from MajorGeeks,no sucess.I am not sure what you mean bye my os,i assume that is operating system which i belive is a pentium four?any way thank you for responding so far.James!!:major
