IBD not loading charts

    Within the past several days IBD (www.investors.com) will not load charts. I have a HP Pavilion laptop running Vista Home Premium. This was working recently. I have deleted every instance of Plotwon and reset my ie7 options as IBD advised. My firewall and antifirus are disabled.

    None of these fixed my problem.

    I am also having trouble with VectorVest not accessing my portfolio

    My problems with IBD started after installing VectorVest

    It could be down to the site and its programming as those stock charts seem to be in JAVA, so possible fix could be to update JAVA, but also goto Add/Remove adn remove all JAVA Runtimes as they will be old versions, then install the new update http://majorgeeks.com/Sun_Java_Runtime_Environment_d4648.html


    Could not see on VectorVests website if this app is Vista compatible, but what you could try is to right click the programs .exe or shortcut and choose Properties > Compatability tab and click "run this program in compatability mode for:" and in the drop down box choose winXP SP2 and apply.

    i have exactly the same problem with my Vectorvest. i get the error code -214722164

    there are two other programs that come up with the same message. Omnitrader 2007 and Corel Photo Album.

    No one seems to know how to fix the problem.
