my IBM Thinkpad R31 kind of died the other day. when it is plugged in to the wall none of the little led lights come on. it was working fine the other day until the battery just finally died. so my guess is that it isn't getting any power from the wall (obviously). i have a multi meter but i don't know how to check to see if the AC adapter is working. i took a multi meter and put the positive down the hole and just clipped the neg. on the outside. i didn't get a reading. so most likely i didn't get a connection because im assuming that they tried to make it as safe as possible, or the AC adapter is broken.

PS. the multi-meter works, it tested a 9v bat fine.

so what do i do from here? any way i can test the adapter? if its not the adapter could it be the connection on my mobo? how do i test these things?
