Icons disappearing

my red icone was gone also ( it scared me )
it was on my p.4 using windows xp home
it only happened one time so far.. so it might not be a win2k prob.

 

Good morning, I can help with the folding ICON , when folding you are runnnig the FAH_65 core in your system,,,if the folding flower is gone from your task bar, please do this ,,hit ,,,control +alt+delete at the same time will launch you windows task manager, you can see all of your running process there on the panel, if you see the FAH_65 core running , this means the computer is still ruuning folding at home,,, this has happened to me, a few time, nothing SERIOUS to worry about !!!I think it is a glitch in Stanfords software, The latest version 5.02 for windows graphical client is most stable of all,,,so the quick fix is to restart your computer, you will continue where you left off in folding, and have your flower icon back,,,once a reboot you have to reset your tweaks,,,,one of the main causes of the disapearing flower act is user created, we are pushing our CPU 100% most of the time folding,,,,and if we try to do other things...multitasking,,,sometimes will cause the system to glitch..all is well and fine with the folding process,,just a reboot to fix the icon...


As to LUG with all of your icons acting up, thats a differant topic the I can not help you with , will leave to the super support people at the MG site, Glenn

PS archer DO NOT shut down in task manager risk of loosing data,,a simple reboot, will preserve data, Glenn
