Icons Keep Moving On Multi-monitor Desktop Pc

I've got a desktop PC with 3 monitors connected via HMDI connectors.

The desktop icons sometimes move for no apparent reason. Usually (but not always) I can get them all to go back to where I want them by Restoring a previously saved configuration in DesktopOK. But then they'll eventually move again.

And occasionally an icon will simply disapprear, never to be found again (although of course I can create a shortcut to an app and to use as a new desktop icon).

Has anybody been able to make multiple monitors work reliably, without running into this problem? If so, how exactly did you do it?

I was going to suggest Desktop OK, but I see you already use that.

The following steps have worked for some folks.

Right click on a bare spot on the desktop and select View and ensure "Auto arrange icons" is unchecked. Then uncheck Align to grid, then Refresh. Then check Align to grid again and Refresh.​

I had the same problem a couple years ago (I use two monitors). Nothing I did fixed it - but suddenly, the problem went away on its own. I have no clue why but fingers crossed, it stays fixed.
