We are trying to connect 2 Dell Dimension 4600's and 1 Averatec laptop. The Dells are both running XP Professional SP 2 and the laptop XP Home. We have the local area connection as well as the Internet Connection on the host. The host IP address is 192.168.0.1 and the clients 192.168.0.2 and 192.168.0.3. (We tried automatically assigning the IP address on both clients but were as unsuccessful with that as we are with this)! The client can ping the host and visa versa. We have file and print sharing connectivity. The host internet connection appears in the both clients Network Connections but we have no Internet. We have been working on this issue for days with no luck what-so-ever. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated!

OK, I solved the mystery. Hopefully this will help someone down the road when the Network Setup Wizard fails them! The answer is as simple as not configuring ICS until ALL clients have been set to dynamically assign an IP address. Had the Network Setup Wizard worked originally, this problem would never have occurred where the Wizard must be run first on the host then on the clients. Happy Computing to All!
