Is there such a thing as a one into four round IDE cable for CD/DVD drives?

Are you talking about the data cable, or sound cable? You can get round cables for better cable management which have the standard 40pin interface. If a SATA cable, then it will be different.

    Thanks for the reply.

I'm trying to shoehorn 4 IDE DVD drives into a motherboard with only one IDE header. I'm looking for a ATA/133 data cable that does the job. Google throws up a couple of million, but not 1 into 4, just the normal 1 into 2.

I'm trying to avoid a motherboard change.

IDE cables come only with a Master and Slave connection on them due to each IDE Interface only can support that. Now if connecting in RAID format, you will need a RAID Interface card, if your Motherboard cannot support it.

Do you have an open PCI slot? You can add an IDE controller card for your additional drives.

Thanks for the replies. Unfortunately i have one slot left, and because graphics cards are build the wrong way up, i have a fan covering the thing. Only slots i have now are PCI Express slots. Only thing i can think of is a new motherboard with that extra IDE slot.
