ide nightmare

hi i have recently installed a 500gb hard drive on a custom built system with xp pro it will only sense 140gb the rest shows up but is inaccecible is there any freeware that works like partition majic so i can merge the the two together? Also is there a tool that will accually find and download drivers and is freeware that u dont have to purchase. i mean for unknown devices not just driver updates. thx for the help.:cryhttp://forums.majorgeeks.com/images/smilies/cry.gif
