ideazon zboard not working

recently i switched all my computer components to a new case... when i did so i must have damaged the mobo ... now i cannot use either of my PS/2 ports... So I improvised. I got a PS/2 to USB adapter. You think this would solve my problems but NOPE. Now the Zboard software will not find my keyboard. I tried getting a new version but it still wont work. Does this mean i have to buy a new keyboard? Or is there something I can do to make this work? Please... any suggestions greatly appreciated!

 

To be perfectly honest I'm not 100% sure, but I think you'll actually need a USB keyboard in order to plug it into a USB port and have it work. I could be wrong though, I can't say I've tried the converters for that, but I just don't think it would work.

 

I've seen it work only once before. Then again, I shouldn't say I SAW, I should say a co-worker found that this does indeed work. But give it a shot and see what happens, just make sure you enable USB keyboard in the bios.

 

Just so you know, the USB keyboard support in the bios is only needed to make the keyboard work without loading an OS (such as in the bios). Even with it disabled a normal USB keyboard SHOULD function in windows, since windows would load a driver for it. Although turning it on can't hurt.

 

Yeah that is true, but I have ran into issues where this was not the case. I had to enable USB keybaord. Strange that may be. But, I totally understand where you are coming from.
