Identify Power Supply Wattage/Specs?

Is there a way to identify the specs of my power supply? It has no writing at all on it!

I have an old PC with an ECS K7VZM + Duron 750, and was just given a (used) ASUS A7V8X-X board + Athalon 900.
I'd like to upgrade my PC with the ASUS board (new RAM req'd), but I'm concerned that my existing pwr-spply is some cruddy 250W model, in which case I'll buy a new case + pwr-spply.

So how do I find out how many watts my power supply is putting out?

Thank you for any help you can provide!

Ehhh, I wouldn't bother. If its so generic it doesn't even have a label, I'd say it couldn't power poop :p. I'd get an Antec or somthing like that, not somthing that comes with a case.

If you had the right kit, and the balls, what you would do is this:
Get out your multimeter. Take a power cord, put your multimeter into AC Amps, and put it in series with the live wire. Boot up the PC. See how many amps are being drawn.

Take your mains supply voltage (115V AC for the US of A, 230V AC for us lot in the UK and Europe), and multiply that figure by the number of amps you're drawing. Theres your power input. Conservation of energy says that whatever you're putting into a system, you get out in one form or another. So that includes what is output as heat into the componenets, the chassis, the transformers in the PSU, etc.

But seriously, I wouldn't want to do that AT ALL. I've got the right kit to do it, but I don't like the idea of playing with mains electricity  Plus, this isn't all that useful, since it doesn't tell you what the power supply is actually rated at. It simply tells you how much power the PC requires to be running.

You need to have CAT-III wires for your (fused) multimeter, or they might melt  I'd also prefer to be using an isolated power supply too.
