ie 5? or 6

okay, i got a new computer, it looks like it has some old software on it. it has windows xp and msoffice2003 on it. when i go to hotmail, it tells me i need to have ie 6 and would i like to download it. what do it do? if i do need to change my ie, what is the correct way to do this?

 

upgrade to Winxp SP2 you will get IE v6 or down load it and setup . it will auto update new one.

 

Use windows update to download IE6.0 and all the other updates

okay.. i think my browser has been hijacked or somehow changed.. i do have ie 6. all updates are current. ms doesnot recognize my cpu ase have msn products.. what now?

it is a new computer... so i just did a total restore. then made sure i had the right protection to begin with.

 

Your post is just a little vague on your specific problem. Please clarify! A CPU would not have MSN products, as that is your processor. I thought that XP shipped with IE 6 originally.

 

Beside IE 6 you can try Opera or firefox softs.

 

i'm back to ie 6 and sp2.
