and I would like for it to open in larger or medium. How do I do this? Also, whatever text size I choose to use, it then affects some other programs that I use. Is this normal?

    Thanks!!

Ron, I fought with the danged thing for a long time, and I'm not sure I've won yet, but here's what seems to come closest to working permanently (for me, anyhoo):

    1. Open IE to your homepage and set the size to medium in View/Text Size.
    2. Go to Tools/Internet Options, Accessibility button on the main tab, and check Ignore text sizes.
    3. OK, OK, then Close IE by holding Ctrl down while you click the X in the upper right corner.
    4. Now open IE again and if it's still the medium size, close it again with Ctrl and the X.
    5. Now open IE again and if it's still the medium size, close it again with Ctrl and the X.
    6. If it seems to have worked, it might help to record the settings by rebooting before you go surfing again.
Try it. Takes just a few seconds, and it might hold. IE sometimes needs to be told things about three times to GET IT.

    Nothing about IE is normal.

    You could always cheat.

Make a stylesheet with the font you want, and size, then set IE to use it in Accessibility options.

I'm too swamped right now, but I could try making one (or someone else can) with what you want, if the above post from Wisewiz doesn't help.

Side note: Why can't IE have a save settings option when closing browser?

    *Sigh*

Thanks, Wisewiz. That seems to be working now.

Wouldn't you carry alot of weight if you suggested it? -didn't I read that you did support for MS? -Or did I read wrong/have you moved on to something else?

While I do support for MS, I don't hold any more sway than a customer :(

There is this email address though for requesting future featues of software.

    mswish@microsoft.com

At least thats the email address we were told to give to people LOL :D :D

GrreatRon, the problem with really crummy software (Can you tell I don't like IE? Huh?) is that sometimes you have to use really STOOPID pet tricks to get it to work right.

***Slightly reworded quote from one of the GREAT weeklies of the black-and-white-only TV era. If you don't recognize it, ye're too young to be using IE!
