IE 6 Connection Settings

I installed Avast 4 Anti-Virus and now I can't connect to the internet because it changed my browser connection setting to never dial a connection. I changed it back to dial my default connection but everytime I restart the setting gets changed back to never dial a connection. I'm running Windows ME. Is there a registry edit somewhere that would fix this? The only time ive really seen this kind of behaviour its generally spyware related, i doubt a well known product such as Avast would do this
Have you run any scans for spyware lately? is the reason you installed Avast that you were suffering from possible virus problems?
Did you have another AV installed before trying Avast? try an online virus scan here

I use Avast and my connection settings have been setup to 'Never Dial a Connection' forever. That doesn't stop me from connecting when I choose to.

I don't think your issue is related to Avast. The only way it changes your connection settings is to redirect your incoming/outgoing email to be scanned (if you chose to do that when installing it)
