ie 6 error

    while using ie 6 occasionally get an error msg " MS Visual c++ runtime library"
    Prg Files/Internet Exp?internet exp.exe. the only option shuts down my net connection .Xp Pro .2.8 athlon .Blueyonder isp Any ideas please
