IE 6 Off Center

My computer froze up, so I restarted it. After the restart, I open IE 6 and the browser window is off center. It is good left and right, but the window is too far down. I cannot see the status bar at the bottom of the window, and I can see my desktop background at the top of my screen. This is all while the window is maximized. I tried restoring and resizing, but whenever I maximize the window, it goes back to the way it was. Can someone please help me?!?!

 

Don't use maximise and only have the one window open when doing the following.

Place the cursor on the side of the window until it turns into a two-headed arrow <->

Hold the left mouse button down and drag the side to the size you want.

Repeat the process for all four sides.

Hold down the Shift key.

Go to File, then close or exit. (while having the Shift key pressed)

Open a new window and it should be the desired size.

This works for Internet Explorer and Windows Explorer.

If for some reason that doesn't work, use the same procedure but click on the red X at the top-right corner instead of "file, close".

If it still doesn't work, use the same procedure but use Ctrl instead of Shift.
