IE 6 won't open properly

I'm having a terrible time with my Internet Explorer and the att browser which uses IE. I have been talking to AT&T and Dell withou any resolution.
When I open either of these browswers the back ground is white with purple and blue writing. I should be able to add or change backgrounds and add modules but I cannot.

I also downloaded and installed Firefox and it looks the same with that browswer.
I would appreciate some help with this.

Could you post a screenshot of what your seeing inthe browsers re colours, just to maybe spark my thoughts as to what this could be, a possible that I first thought of is the Accessibility options in the browser ( should not have affected Firefox though ) but double check

Make sure none of the options in the Accessibility menu are ticked http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/using/accessibility/ignorecolorsfonts.mspx

Which Windows version you using?

When did this first start, was it after installing some new software or an update to some already installed software, have you updated your graphics card drivers at all, if not also try that.

Is it just the browsers or do other windows and software screens look wrong?

What have ATT & Dell had you already do to resolve this? the more info the better, I just trying to cover some bases and maybe someone else has come across this before.
