ie 6

when i type a url in the address bar the system will not respond and also when i hit the down arrow next to the address bar to see previously visited sites the same thing happens , however if i click favorite sites the pages load up normally or if i google a site and click on it it loads normally? any ideas
or help? if i open a new ie explorer window after a couple of minutes the non responding window pops up and works TIA

 

What OS is this? What version of IE6 is this? We require more input.
