IE 7 not updating

My MSN homepage, I use IE7, comes up with the incorrect date in the upper right corner. Therefore as of this Sat. AM it is showing Friday and yesterday's date. How can I correct this. Thx

P.S. the date and time on the bottom toolbar are correct.

 

Try cleaning your temp files, only other thing I can think of is your profile location info in MSN isn't correct. i.e. I'm in Chicago but if I put NY or FL the time zone would be different.

Thanks for your reply cat, but it's not the time, it's the date. It still says Friday, April 10.

 

1. Go to that page and press ctrl+F5 at the same time. It's called a "forced reload". Wait. Any difference?
2. If you have that page listed as a trusted cookie somewhere (for example in CCleaner or in your browser settings) - delete that cookie like this: Start -> Run -> write -> shell:cookies -> delete all MSN cookies one by one. Then go to the site. Use ctrl+F5 again. Any difference?

 

Thanks, but this didn't work either. I tried both F5 suggestions and nothing. It seems the date finally changes after about 8 or 9 pm the nexr day.

 

Hi not sure if you fixed this... sorry lost track of thread. Guessing this is when you login to MSN under your profile...

Try this in IE / Tools / Internet Options / General Tab - Browsing History, Settings / View Objects

Will give you a list, see if anything is corrupt or damaged if so delete it, it will download again when you visit the site.

If you find nothing unusual, delete anything MSN and see if that corrects the issue.

See attached pic, my shockwave is damaged on that PC and would get an error if I used it most likely. Hope this helps, can't think of anything else offhand...
