IE 7 problem.

Does anyone have a clue as to why my IE7 has begun to absolutely creep along? It is not an internet connection issue, but rather the program is very, very slow all of a sudden. For example, I can go to the address bar and type in a website address, and it will slowly show each letter that I type, with a long delay between each letter. This is very frustrating, but luckily, I have a spare machine to try and locate a fix with.
