IE 8 favorites

I have Xp pro sp3 and Ie 8 The older ie browsers would remember the last folder i saved a link to and open the same folder the next time i saved a link.
This worked great for me.
Is there a way to restore this in ie8

Not exactly the same, but IE8 has an option to reopen your last browsing session. Just go to Tools and click on "Reopen last browsing session."

Also, I don't utilize the Favorites Bar, but you might try experimenting with the Favorites Bar to see if there is an option to allow you to automatically return to your last saved Favorite. At the very least, you can always scroll down to the last Favorite entered (in the drop-down Favorites menu) and click on it there, or you could also find it in the Favorites history drop-down menu.
