IE and Outlook Express title bar

I had the requirement to use an alternate ISP for a bit. After installing the appropriate software it changed the title bar (and the little logo in the top right) to OUTLOOK EXPRESS Provided by ABC Company.

I can't stand it! It wasn't provided by them as it was already there!!!

Anyway how do I get rid of the modified title bar and return it to what it was? I've seen something once upon a time but heck if I can find it again.

I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling but it doesn't return it to the original state.

You'll need to edit the Windows registry (if you feel comfortable doing so):

Start -> Run. Type regedit, and hit Enter

Navigate to: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main and look for the key in the right pane called Window Title. Modify it or delete it altogether.

For Outlook Express, navigate to:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Identities\{long, long number}\Software\Microsoft\Outlook Express\5.0 (or whatever version you have) and look, again, for a key named Window Title.

As always, back up your registry and/or create a System Restore Point before making any changes.

Thanks TheDoug that got rid of it. Now can you tell me how to get rid of or change the little logo on the top right?

You can dowlnload tweakui from microsoft. Just search the microsoft site for power toys. You can change the throbber in IE to whatever you want.
