IE Application Problem/ Merry Christmas!!!

I first want to wish everyone a VERY MERRY CHRISTMAS and a HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!
I am having problems with our Internet Explorer. When I click to open I get this warning saying that I am having problems an Application Error. It says:
'The application failed to initialize properly (0xc0000005). Click on OK to terminate the application.' I found a site that tells me to go into the regedit and look for the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE and look for the RPCKDM in the services and I don't have that in there. So, what should I do now? I have IE7, by the way. I am using my Firefox at the moment.

 

Well, it looks like you already answered your question. Trash IE and stick with F.F. No one want to fix or trouble shoot IE.

 

And a Merry Christmas to you too, Scrooge. (Seriously, manners. Now. Or at the very least learn how to phrase things differently. Your opinion is nothing more than an opinion, after all.)

Achyhart, I had a similar problem a while back, and some other MG members were kind enough to help me solve it. Scrooge is right about one thing, though he phrased it a bit crudely; Firefox is a better browser than Internet Explorer, for the simple reason that it is safer. Exploits and malware are writen for IE, since it is more common. By using Firefox, you keep your computer safe from a lot of the malware out there.

And that is the extent of my abilities to help with a software issue. Be patient though, and someone else will be able to give you a hand. MGs is a great community that way.

Your right, I should of phrased my response a with a little more empathy. I just get frustrated with the notion that M$ can be fixed. Sorry partner.
