I have searched the web to find an answer to this problem. I have IE 8, Adobe 9, (nividia sound card). XP operating system 2.39 ghz, pent 4, 2.39 ghz.

I also have Foxfire browser with no problem. Only XP has the problem. Everything displayed on any web site is oversized. I can scroll side to side and see all side to side display, but not able to scroll up or down. Text, graphics all huge. My setting are not changed. Only thing new Adobe 9 and upgrade of Java. The problem didn't start immdediately after it was installed. I t was about a week or so later. I looked it up on ms data base lots of problems but none like this. Ive checked all my connections, cables and stuff. Computer itself display just fine, Foxfire displays just fine. Only on IE.

    I need help seriously.

When viewing a web page in Internet Explorer 8, in the lower right corner you should see a percentage number, change it to 100% if it's not at 100%. Or, you can hold the CTRL key on your keyboard and use the scroll wheel on your mouse to increase/decrease the size of the text & images in the IE window (this works with other browsers too like Firefox/Palemoon, Opera, Chrome).

If that doesn't work, go to Control Panel > Internet Options > Advanced tab; click the "Reset advanced settings" button, then click the "Reset..." button just below it. If none of this works, please post and we'll try something else....

Thanks for the info. After going hmmm over every possible thing that could go wrong with IE and hadn't. I did the control panel bit I read about on here and I did the internet options and nada. So I figured i had to be simple so I opened up a web page and looked it over, top to bottom and discovered just what you said. It was at 150% zoom. Simple is better, but I seem to mire down in complicated. Thanks again.
