IE browser problems

Hi there Can any one advise Me on this problem
The problem is that I had to do a total reformat on my windows Xp home edition as some really nasty male ware infected the whole comp.

after installing all the programs which i lost cause i couldnt do the the non format cause of the the new sp3 which i had installed and installed all the updates for windows including the IE7

now when i try IE7 it just does nothing doesnt load at all just switches off
I had a look at the process explorer from Sysinternals and it just goes to red and vanishes.
I had to reinistall it and now have the low spec of IE6 with it faded print.
and in the end resorted to firefox as some how I dont trust that browser

So could any of you shine a light on it on it for me please

 

Have you reinstalled all the drivers from the PCs homepage? What label is it?

 

Yes I have
My comp is a advent intel Celeron M

I had to do it from the disk the Tech guys gave Me as the comp. was unable to do it
and I installed the updates from windows update page

 

I think perhaps you should go over that disk again and reinstall the drivers...
